Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Tax Professional to join our team. As a Tax Professional, you will be responsible for preparing complex tax returns for businesses, reviewing the preparation of income tax returns, and assisting with the coordination of engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare complex tax returns: You will be responsible for preparing tax returns for businesses, including S-corporations, C-corporations, partnerships, and non-profits.
  • Review and analyze tax returns: You will review the preparation of income tax returns prepared by junior staff members and analyze them for accuracy and completeness.
  • Coordinate engagements: You will assist with the coordination of engagements, including client contact, staff requirements, documentation, and timing.
  • Research and solve tax issues: You will work with more experienced team members to research and solve difficult tax issues to develop the best solutions for clients.
  • Supervise junior staff: You will supervise the activities of less experienced staff members while working on special projects.
  • Build client relationships: You will begin building strong client relationships to be viewed as a trusted advisor.
  • Develop business skills: You will obtain skills to promote the firm, attract new clients, and expand business with existing clients.

Requirements:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited college/university.
  • Credentials: An active CPA License.
  • Experience: 2-5 years of public accounting experience.
  • Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, excellent written and verbal skills, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, good judgment and professional skepticism, excellent analysis and observation skills, ability to work effectively with co-workers, staff, and clients, knowledge of accounting software packages and MS Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
