Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients and visitors with professionalism, embodying the Gritman Way.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and collaborate effectively with all departments.
  • Monitor call queue and lobby wait times, addressing issues as they arise.
  • Protect patient rights by ensuring strict confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Perform accurate data entry, including patient accounts, insurance information, and appointment scheduling.
  • Handle daily deposit reconciliation paperwork and maintain a balanced cash drawer.
  • Collect copays and outstanding balances and assist in preparing paperwork for appointments.
  • Manage patient portal registrations, respond to medical record requests, and research patient concerns.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the reception area and perform opening and closing tasks.
Requirements:
  • Education: No requirement, High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Work Experience: Experience with computers is required.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication, customer service, data entry, multi-line phone system management, and cash handling skills.
  • Attributes: Positive attitude, ability to work collaboratively and independently, flexibility in adapting to changing situations, and a commitment to exceeding patient and staff expectations.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required.
