OVERVIEW:
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Staff Accountant's responsibilities include processing day-to-day accounting duties such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and monthly reporting. The qualified candidate should have 1-3 years of accounting experience. The position is temporary; however, there is a possibility to convert to a permanent direct-hire depending on performance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT ARE LIMITED TO:
Perform Accounts Payable and Receivable functions.
Maintain precise customer account information.
Assist in monthly, quarterly, and year-end closures.
Prepare and record journal entries when necessary.
Assist in the preparation of documents for internal/external audits.
Collaborate with internal departments on accounting matters.
Pursue process improvements for increased productivity and efficiency.
Deliver accurate reports with minimal errors.
Cultivate effective communication within the team and external contacts.
Manage various clerical duties and undertake special projects as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1-3 years of accounting experience required.
Associate Degree required. A degree in accounting or a business field is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
