This position is responsible for performing accounts receivable/payable and for supporting the Supervisor and Manager regarding any accounting functions.
Primary Job Functions 70%
Accounts Receivable
Communicates with internal and external parties in order to collect information for receivables
Processes all necessary documentation for Accounts Receivable without any delays
Ensures smooth and ongoing communication with Accounting staff members
Posts sales reports, sales journal, and cash receipts without any delays
Performs weekly data transfer from GoFreight to Great Plains
Manages customer credit list for additions, deletions, and or updates without any delays
Manages and notifies to the person in charge for customer’s updated credit limit without any delays
Processes customer credit application
Reports sales journal, accounts receivable, and so on, to CFO and Accounting Manager
Performs bank’s positive pay function, such as data entry and processes exceptions
Performs any other accounts receivable functions when necessary
Accounts Payable
Receives and processes payment slips and invoice by pdf daily without any delays
Receives and processes payment slips in the accounting system through data entry without any delays
Cuts checks in a timely manner by following the company payment schedules and procedures
Reports promptly of the payment status to payment requestor
Maintains all sorted payment slips in file without any fails
Processes data transfer from GoFreight to Great Plains for processing payments
Processes expense payment request forms in Great Plains
Communicates with vendors, customers, and co-workers regarding inquiries when necessary without any delays
Performs cash disbursement journal for check payment bank transaction without any delays
Manages new vendor registration and updates existing vendor information without any delays and without any fails
Handles any other accounts payable tasks when necessary

Physical Requirements and Working Environment
Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this job, the Staff Member is regularly required to sit and talk or listen. The staff member is occasionally required to stand, walk, use hands to pick-up, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
This position requires frequent typing on a keyboard and frequent use of a mouse (by clicking and by scrolling).
The staff member must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
This position requires vision abilities such as close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Working Environment
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate (i.e. working in a business office with computers, printers, and telephones) and occasionally noisy (i.e. working in a warehouse environment with various equipment, machinery and trucks).
The Staff Member may be required to work beyond normal business hours when necessary.
Experience/Minimum Qualifications Needed
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret general business documents, forms and instructions in English
Ability to write reports, business correspondence in English
Ability to effectively respond to questions from Management, Managers, Staff, clients, and the general public in English
Ability to communicate verbally and in writing to individuals and groups in English
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Skills
Ability to apply knowledge and sense of understanding to carry-out detailed written or oral instructions
Ability to analyze information, use various documents (contracts, purchase orders, etc.) and organize procedures, manuals or reports.
Computer Skills
Ability to use a computer and such applications as Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook and be able to design custom reports as necessary.
Ability to use Company’s Database program for Logistics Operations and Accounting Software
Ability to deal with internal IT System to update information.

Education
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or university in accounting, finance or related field.
One to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
