PLANT MANAGER – Extrusion Compounding

You will have responsibility for everything that happens within the plant, managing all aspects of the 3 shifts, labor, materials, inventory, and productivity. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership – Lead and foster a culture of positivity that strives to achieve company metrics.
Metric Accountability – Provide authority and mentorship to direct reports that drives metric
accountability through improvement plans and timelines.
Efficiency – Maximize efficiency within all direct departments by identifying and correcting waste.
Employee Accountability – Perform direct report assessments, enforce company policies and conduct
disciplinary action.
Continual Improvement – Identify, recommend and implement new processes, technologies and
systems to improve the use of manufacturing resources.
Safety – Ensure a safe working environment of the facility and it’s processes.
Housekeeping – Maintain organized facility areas as ‘tour ready.’
Customer Focus – Carryout customer focused vision throughout direct reporting departments.
Cooperate and fulfill other job-related duties as assigned by leadership and as may be necessary to carry
out the responsibility of this position.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business.
The Plant Manager must have a minimum of 5 years of management experience in a polymer compounding. profile extrusion manufacturing operation such as decking, fence, siding, pipe, window profiles.
The Plant Manager must have excellent people skills, a "leader's" personality, and the ability to have a team rally behind them to meet the output and growth goals of the company.
The Plant Manager must have a “take-charge” personality who can efficiently and effectively identify and solve problems and manage the growth and opportunity this company is experiencing.
The Plant Manager must have excellent problem-solving skills and excellent communication skills to interact with R&D, Engineering, Maintenance, Upper Management with respect to challenges or opportunities.
Experience with continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, & 6-Sigma.
