The Associate AD for Facilities and Operations serves as a member of the Athletics Administration and a member of the senior leadership team. This position reports to the Deputy AD / Chief of Staff. This position is responsible for the oversight and execution of the department’s efforts in facilities management, event management, and operations. The Associate AD for Facilities and Operations oversees all facets of the entire athletics facilities portfolio, which includes the newly constructed $65 million project under the Initiative for Wellness and Athletics Excellence (IWAE). This includes scheduling, hosting of events, maintenance, marketing, strategic planning, compliance in areas of insurance and liability, and other related matters. The Associate AD for Facilities and Operations has direct oversight of a full-time staff of three, plus numerous student workers. The Associate AD for Facilities and Operations is a highly visible position that carries significant influence, and thus requires strong character and work ethic. Essential Job Functions (Associate AD for Facilities and Operations):

Provide oversight and vision for the department in areas of facilities management, event management, and athletics operations, directly supervising employees in those functions; Serve as Chief Athletic Facilities Officer – including serving as the key point of contact with the Office of Facilities Management; Administrative and operational oversight of laundry and equipment for all 25 intercollegiate teams; Oversight for scheduling and use of athletic facilities; Oversight of event management of all 25 sports, resulting in more than 150 annual events on campus, to include setup and tear down of each facility; Working with the Deputy AD / Chief of Staff in the area of summer camps and clinics; Coordination of athletics office operational components such as copy supplies, stationary printing, ordering office supplies, and locker room plaques; Oversight of the Aquatics Director (currently part-time role); Tournament Director for all Southern Athletic Association and/or NCAA events hosted on campus; Provide leadership and direction with the care, maintenance, renovation, and input into strategic development of all intercollegiate and recreational athletic facilities (Andy Frye Stadium, Champions Hall, Gary Wright Field at Fishman Park, Fishman Center, Softball Facility, Softball Indoor Practice Center, Seabury Family Tennis Center, Outdoor Tennis Complex, South Turf Field, Throws Area, Lutes Building, Amend Soccer Stadium, Dabney Building, Sutcliffe Hall, and others); Involved in the department budgeting process, including input into the capital requests process as well as facility planning; Oversight of Fields Supervisor in all aspects of turf management including, but not limited to, mowing, lining of fields, aerification, seeding, fertilization, weed control, weed eating, etc.; Oversight of restoration of athletic venues damaged by weather, use, or other conditions, to a level commensurate with that expected by the high standards of the College; Supervision of work study employees in the areas of laundry room, equipment, and event management; Assistance with the security of athletic facilities; Assistance with crowd control at athletic events; Appreciation of, a sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students, faculty, and staff of many social, economic, cultural, and ideological, racial, and ethnic backgrounds; Represent department at various campus, community, conference, and national functions; Travel with teams when appropriate as administrative representative; Involvement with various campus committees; Conduct activities in accordance with all Centre College, Southern Athletic Association, and NCAA rules and regulations; Other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics, Deputy AD/Chief of Staff, of their designee; On call for athletic staff, campus constituents, and non-Centre groups using athletic facilities; Develop annual maintenance programs for all facilities; Provide administrative oversight of scheduling and operational support for internal and external groups/events involving the IWAE facilities; Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the IWAE which include scheduling the hours of operations and coordinating facility scheduling for team practices, recreation, clubs, internal/external groups and events within Champions Hall; Oversee an extensive scheduling system for all Centre Athletics venues; Serving as point of contact, responsible for the coordinating external events from contract to production; Receive and prioritize requests for external rentals, conduct facility walk-throughs, meetings and timely communication throughout process; Actively promote Champions Hall availability to appropriate groups through appropriate channels; Track annual visitors, as well as other defined metrics, involving all athletic facilities; Serve as the security liaison from the athletic department with direct responsibility for Champions Hall; Interface with Facilities Management/custodial staff to insure proper cleaning of maintenance of athletic facilities; Prepare for and assist with special events such as tournaments, clinics, and general use of facilities; Assist in the facilitation of summer camps and clinics; Engaging and interacting with a diverse group of alumni, parents and friends of the College; Build out operating procedures for all athletic facilities; Demonstrates an appreciation of and commitment to further an inclusive culture for those of diverse backgrounds such as ability, age, class, ethnicity, faith background, gender expression, gender identity, geographic region, national origin, neurodiversity, race, and sexual orientation that comprise individual and group expressions of identity. Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of three years of experience in a collegiate athletics facility setting. Previous collegiate administrative experience a plus. Experience with Division III either as a student-athlete, coach, or administrator is strongly preferred. Previous experience in scheduling high demand spaces, as well as working with a competitive aquatics center is a plus. Valid driver’s license required. High integrity and ethical standards are required, along with enthusiasm for the mission of Centre College and Centre College Athletics. Expert communication skills, both written and verbal, are required. Teamwork oriented attitude and a desire to work in a fast-paced, highly successful Division III athletic department a must. Knowledge of NCAA and SAA rules and regulations. Additional qualifications include being self-motivated, visionary, positive, energetic, eager to teach, willingness to travel, and the ability to foster a team environment is needed. The Associate AD for Facilities and Operations / Director of Champions Hall is a highly visible position that carries significant influence, and thus requires strong character and work ethic. Certifications required:

Adult First Aid, CPE/AED Certification required or to be obtained within first three months of employment. Education Requirements (Any)
