At HES Facilities, we are seeking dedicated individuals to ensure the cleanliness and safety of our educational environments.

No prior experience is necessary

Every role within our organization is vital. A Facility Maintenance Technician is crucial in upholding the hygiene, security, and operational efficiency of our facilities, allowing students to concentrate on their education. Beyond routine maintenance tasks, this position also involves assisting educators with the arrangement and upkeep of classroom furnishings and equipment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, and waxing of floors.
  • Utilize machinery for carpet cleaning.
  • Maintain cleanliness of walls, vents, furniture, drinking fountains, light fixtures, and other interior elements.
  • Wash both interior and exterior windows and glass doors.
  • Ensure entryways are tidy, including emptying exterior trash receptacles.
  • Sanitize restrooms and replenish necessary supplies.
  • Change accessible light bulbs.
  • Complete maintenance requests to inform management of repair needs.
  • Clear snow and ice and apply de-icing materials as required.
  • Organize custodial storage areas as necessary.
  • Assist in moving and setting up furniture and equipment for special events as directed.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to read, write, and understand instructions relevant to the position.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of collaborating with a diverse team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push, pull, stand, bend, stoop, and kneel.
  • Capable of walking for extended periods, up to 8 hours daily.
  • Ability to climb ladders and stairs.
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools.
