The Role: The Appraisals Coordinator reports to the Appraisals Director and oversees the day to day operations of the appraisals and valuations issued by Christie’s. Possibility of hiring a Senior Coordinator depending on tenure and experience, we will be reviewing both levels of candidates. Specific duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to Review out-going appraisals for standard formatting, cataloguing and special language in compliance with internal requirements. Oversee the day to day production of appraisals to specified deadlines. Prepare contracts for appraisals. Issue appraisal invoices. Perform high volume of data entry with accuracy and attention to detail. Along with the Appraisals Director, develop and implement training programs that educate employees about internal appraisal requirements, process and methodology. Overseeing binding supplies and training. Advise internal clients on the appraisal process and requirements. Ensure all client and appraisal data is entered and maintained correctly in various systems (COS, Object Finder and CAMS). Provide historic appraisal information to various departments as required. Assist with training and offer support to TEA team members for Christie’s Appraisal Management System and work with IT on various system upgrades. Schedule SSO meetings for specialist-led appraisals The Candidate Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including superior written and spoken communication. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize working at a fast pace with a high volume of requests. Strong follow-up skills with attention to detail. Comprehensive understanding Trusts, Estates & Appraisals processes. Knowledge of Outlook and Excel. Tech savvy; ability to quickly learn new technologies and comfortable troubleshooting issues. Familiarity with Christie’s Appraisal Management System and internal systems a plus. Strong typing skills (minimum typing speed: 60 wpm). Client Service experience.
