The HR Generalist plays a key role in executing work in various HR functions, including leave of absence processes, compliance, benefits administration, compensation projects, performance management, and employee relations. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of HR practices and the ability to apply them in alignment with organizational objectives. The HR Generalist supports HR Operations and the HR Business Partner organization, ensuring that HR initiatives are effectively implemented and aligned with organizational goals.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the entire leave of absence process, including FMLA, personal leaves, and other related absences. Communicate leave updates with employees and managers.
  • Conduct regular audits and assist in the development of HR policies and procedures. Ensure HR practices and leaves are in compliance with all federal, state and local leave laws.
  • Assist with employee relations work, including handling performance coaching plans and conducting investigations as needed.
  • Be able to assist employees with benefit-related questions and issues
  • Collaborate with HR Operations and the HR Business Partner organization to ensure smooth HR processes and comprehensive HR support to the organization
Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience with leave of absence management, benefits administration, and compensation projects.
  • Excel skills for compensation analysis and HR reporting
  • PHR certification
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience working in a fast paced SAAS environment
  • Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
