Covenant Physician Partners is hiring a Part-Time Provider Enrollment Specialist at The De La Pena Eye Clinic in Montebello, CA.

This schedule for this role Monday-Friday / 8 AM to 12:30 PM.

This is an entry level position with growth potential.

Please note the compensation range for this role is $18-20/hourly.

About the Opportunity

Coordinates the application and processing of provider (physician, advanced practice nurse, and allied health providers) enrollments with nationwide insurance payers and state licensure boards. Completes and files applications for providers' inclusion with federal and state regulatory agencies. Manages additional special projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintains records, compiles information, and submits the necessary forms in order to keep providers licensed.
  • Work in tandem with Credentialing Department to ensure timely enrollment of providers with federal and commercial payer groups. This position will be integral in the provider enrollment process moving forward.
  • Ensures the timely submission of materials to state agencies in order to guarantee licenses and license renewals (including but not limited to: State Licensure, DEA, etc.)
  • Maintains multiple systems for license, appointment and continuing education (CE) information. Assists providers in maintaining Council for Affordable Quality Healthcare (CAQH) profile attestations, Medicare initial enrollments or revalidations, and state Medicaid initial enrollments or re-validations.
  • Ensures that all providers comply with State and Federal compliance regulations.
  • Work with Revenue Cycle Team to resolve credentialing issues with contracted payers and maintain a shared enrollment status database.
  • Build relationships with other departments to ensure smooth transitions for incoming providers or groups.
  • Assist with provider needs relating to hospital privileging or physician group credentialing.
  • Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
About the Candidate
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Healthcare industry work experience preferred but open to new grads.
  • Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact and diplomacy.
  • Must be flexible with organizational changes.
  • Understands roles of physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrate the ability to handle multiple tasks with little or no supervision.
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications.
  • Work requires continual attention to detail in establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
  • A professional appearance and telephone manner is essential.
