Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support to students with special needs, promoting their social, emotional, and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with school staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans, ensuring students receive the support they need to succeed.
  • Assist with classroom activities, including preparing materials, supervising students, and maintaining a safe and organized learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents to ensure seamless support and progress.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting students with special needs.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; AA degree or 48 college units preferred.
  • 1 year of experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a behavioral therapy or intervention setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
