EXPAT Payroll Support Specialist

Job Description:We are in search of a highly skilled and motivated Expat Support Specialist (HR) to join our dynamic HR team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in offering comprehensive support to our expatriate (Korean) employees, with a specific focus on expat payroll and benefits administration. This role necessitates a thorough understanding of international employment practices, tax regulations, and a commitment to ensuring the well-being and satisfaction of our expat workforce.

Expat Payroll Administration: Oversee the complete expatriate (Korean) payroll process, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely processing. Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to reconcile payroll-related accounts and resolve discrepancies. Stay informed about international payroll regulations and tax laws to ensure compliance in all locations with expatriates. Process and verify expat allowances, bonuses, and other compensation elements.

Expat Benefits Management: Design, implement, and administer expatriate benefits programs aligned with the organization's overall compensation strategy. Provide guidance to expatriate employees on benefits packages, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly. Collaborate with external vendors to negotiate and manage expatriate health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefit programs. Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of expat benefits programs, recommending adjustments as needed.

Global Mobility Support: Assist in coordinating global mobility assignments, including immigration, relocation, and repatriation processes. Work closely with external providers and internal stakeholders to ensure a seamless expatriate experience throughout the assignment lifecycle. Provide pre-assignment briefings to expatriates, covering key information related to payroll, benefits, and cultural considerations.

Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with local and international (Korean) labor laws, tax regulations, and reporting requirements related to expatriate payroll and benefits. Generate regular reports for management, tracking key metrics related to expatriate compensation and benefits.

Skills and Qualifications:

Required: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse expatriate population. Fluency in Korean (Native) and English (Business level). Proven experience in data management with a keen attention to detail.

Preferred: In-depth knowledge of international payroll regulations, tax implications, and expatriate compensation structures. Experience with global mobility programs, including immigration and relocation processes. Familiarity with HRIS (Workday) and payroll software.
