Our client in Brentwood is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team. This is a temp-to-hire or permanent opportunity with an in-office schedule during training, then a hybrid schedule after training is complete.

The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment; including three-way matching of purchase orders, warehouse receipts and invoices.

Responsibilities:

Process AP transactions in different ERP systems

Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to entry Compare purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges

Record vendor invoices received in a day that same day Execute credit card reconciliations Establish and maintain relationships with new and existing vendors Manage a high volume of work and resolve of numerous daily issues Ensure accuracy and controlled completion of AP transactions Record, update and reconcile AP information and provide general accounting support for AP related issues as necessary Resolve non-routine, variances, and/or payment issues Maintain AP step-by-step instructions for daily tasks, information, files and records for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with policies Maintain accurate and complete master data for all suppliers

Continuously review and update vendor master data for new or inactive suppliers

Required Experience

High school diploma or equivalent or higher Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping 1-2 years' experience in accounts payable function Experience in a manufacturing environment; including three-way matching of Purchase Orders, Warehouse receipts and Invoices a plus International supplier base and payment processing experience preferred Must be able to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and organize workload to meet organizational timelines in a fast paced, very high-growth environment

Essential Skills & Knowledge
