The Data Analyst I position leverages strong Excel and data skills to analyze client information for conformity with regulatory requirements under the Affordable Care Act. In this role, the Data Analyst I is responsible for communicating with clients, the results of data analysis and any related findings. The Data Analyst I will also be responsible for meeting the needs of clients, answering technical questions and managing multiple client engagements simultaneously.
Responsibilities:Essential Responsibilities:
- Gathers and imports required data files and analyzes errors and inconsistencies.
- Communicates timelines and data requirements and relays information to clients as needed.
- Transmits completed data annually to government agencies and submits data for third-party printing and mailing.
- Ensures that data collection methods are appropriate for client and alters methods when necessary.
- Responsible for working with clients to educate them on regulatory requirements.
- Provides quality client service, including interacting with clients and answering client inquiries.
Required Competencies:
- Problem-solving skills that can be applied to complex scenarios.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Detailed and organized with an ability to track multiple clients, initiatives and deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Customer service focused.
- Basic understanding of the Affordable Care Act is helpful, but not required.
Qualifications:
Qualifications, Experience and Education Requirements:
- Proven experience as a successful Data Analyst or similar role.
- 1-3 years of experience working in the fields of employee benefits or compliance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
