New Riff is looking for an energetic, engaging, and passionate team member to join the FOH team for a full time position for Lead Bartender Brand Ambassador for our newly renovated Aquifer Tasting Room. We are looking for a bartender who is dedicated to putting guests first, values teamwork, and possesses an insatiable curiosity. Hours of Operation (not including in and out times for opening/closing for staff)

Tuesday-Thursday-11-7pm
Friday, Saturday-11-8pm
Sunday-11-5 pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operating under a hospitality-first mindset, create a warm, welcoming, and inclusive experience for all guests and teammates
  • Dedication to becoming a subject matter expert on everything New Riff, our products, and the industry as a whole.
  • Commitment to showing up for our guests and for each other by being punctual, reliable, communicative, and present
  • Standard operating procedures of opening and closing duties to set and reset the stage for service
  • 5 day work week which includes 3 bartending shifts and 2 office days.
  • Prepare, serve, and engage with guests about our Whiskey Library, flights, and handcrafted cocktails
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area.
  • Adhere to all responsible beverage service guidelines and laws.
  • Assist Bar Supervisor with inventory management, restocking, and ordering supplies as needed and assisting in bar prep and cocktail development.
  • Support Bar Supervisor in executing, maintaining and developing Standard Operating Procedures to set up the team for outstanding service
  • Participate in distillery events, tours, and tastings as required on and offsite
  • Manage communication for event inquiries for Tower Room requests
  • In collaboration with the Hospitality Director and Bar Supervisor help to execute and manage internal events booked in the Aquifer, specifically in Tower Room
  • Create and maintain shareable Event calendar
  • Assist Bar Supervisor in Batched Cocktail Requests for Offsite Events
  • Assist Communication and Events Manager with logistics for off site events including packing up materials, and event sheets.
  • Communication with Bar Supervisor and Hospitality Manager on needs, issues, and wins
COMPENSATION: Starting Hourly $15 per hour plus tips during bar shifts

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

(Include professional or technical certifications if applicable)
  • Previous bartending experience, with a strong preference for those experienced in craft cocktails and/or bourbon-focused settings.
  • Attention to detail - from food and beverage standards to cost, safety, facility cleanliness, and customer experience. (This is just scratching the surface)
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to stay focused under pressure.
  • Adaptability and flexibility.
  • Initiative to create better systems and communicate these updates
  • Experience with cocktail creation, general knowledge of spirits, and a keen interest in continuing to learn and evolve
  • Must be 21 and up to apply

WORK ENVIRONMENT and PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The position is typically working on the floor and often requires moving in a high-paced work environment, speaking loudly, and moving boxes that weigh 10-40 lbs
