**Description**

The Customer Relations Specialist will be responsible to provide and nurture customer relations activities between customer and company, sales, sales representatives, operations and engineering by processing information and responding to inquiries and requests.

**ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:**

* Processes customer requests and inquiries: quotes price and delivery information; follows up with customers/distributors and representatives on quotations; processes return orders by issuing return material authorization and validating returns; enter replacement orders; responds to order status requests, delivery expedites, and surveys.

* Administers customer purchase orders; accepts and enters customer/distributor purchase orders; conducts purchase order reviews; communicates with customer /distributors; confirm or acknowledge orders; completes change notices on new or existing parts; verifies customer to company design; cross reference; works with engineering to meet customer requirements or communicate exceptions.

* Interacts with staff to remedy or address customer/distributor situations; checks status of engineering documentation affecting customer orders; resolves accounting problems such as price discrepancies; credit, freight changes and short shipments.

* Promptly follows up on quotes and gains orders.

* Notes the reason for lost quotes

* Obtain appropriate pricing strategy within guidelines and obtain necessary approvals; obtain delivery lead-times and quote notes. Recommends changes to pricing or lead times.

* Review open orders to assure products are being delivered in a timely fashion. Escalate issues to get product delivered to customers in a timely fashion.

* Provides accurate and timely responses to inquiries, questions, and customer escalations.

**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:**

* Education: Associate's Degree

* Experience Years: 5-8 years

* Experience Type: Customer Service/Inside Sales

* OR Equivalent combination of education and experience

**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: See Below:**

* Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); Web proficiency.

* Ability to read and interpret company manuals and customer requests or requirements

* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, as well as, effectively speak to customers, vendors, and employees of the organization.

* Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, and apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry.

* Reasoning ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.

* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished orally, in writing, electronically, by diagram, or schedule form .

**WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office Based**
