Role Overview:

As a Sales Account Executive within our Sales Department, you will be a key player in driving revenue growth by identifying, selling, and developing new enterprise-level clients. Your primary responsibility will be to orchestrate institutional buy-in across multiple stakeholders and roles in client organizations, nurturing existing client relationships for renewals and upsell opportunities, and prospecting potential customers to expand our client base. You will utilize our lead database to qualify potential clients, attend industry trade shows and events to build strong network connections, and effectively demonstrate our technology solutions to address customer pain points and drive sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. New Business Development:
    1. Generate revenue by identifying, selling, and developing new enterprise-level clients.
    2. Orchestrate institutional buy-in across multiple stakeholders and roles in client organizations.
    3. Utilize our lead database to identify and qualify potential clients.
  2. Account Management and Expansion:
    1. Nurture an existing client base for renewals and upsell opportunities.
    2. Prospect potential customers to expand our client base.
    3. Update, maintain, qualify, and forecast a pipeline of prospects.
  3. Sales Strategy and Execution:
    1. Meet with private and public-sector clientele at all levels to understand their needs and present tailored solutions.
    2. Comfortably demo software and services, tailoring presentations to meet customer goals and solve industry pain points.
    3. Manage sales opportunities in Salesforce from initial contact to signed contract.
  4. Industry Engagement and Networking:
    1. Attend industry trade shows and events, and join community associations to form strong network connections and stay current on industry trends.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business management, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5+ years of senior-level sales and/or strategic planning experience preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to develop and execute a formal strategic plan for identifying and developing industry-specific clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel at an advanced level.
  • Experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
