Apollo Technical has an immediate need for a Stormwater Services Project Manager in Houston, TX.

This is a full time, direct hire position with an excellent benefits package.

Summary: This position will independently perform engineering and project assignments with clear and specified objectives involving all types of hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, calculations, and modeling for land developments and public works projects. Engineering judgment is required in the details of work, project decisions, and adaptations of engineering alternatives; work is reviewed by the Supervisor.

Requirements/Qualifications: • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university • Registered P.E. in Texas with a minimum of 7 years of industry experience • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Programs • Knowledgeable of hydrologic, hydraulic, and general engineering principles • Proven strong project management and leadership skills with the ability to take ownership of projects and follow through to completion and achievement of goals • Experience in coordination with government agencies on all aspects of a project, including drainage impact analysis reviews. • Able to problem solve and work independently, as well as part of a team • Able to provide clear direction to other team members to keep a project on schedule • Shows the ability to work through technical obstacles by determining viable engineering solutions and providing reasoning as to the correct approach • Possess excellent and professional verbal and written communication skills • Maintain professional appearance and behavior • Well-organized and detail-oriented • Mentors and guides less experienced staff in a professional and educational manner • Identifies and seeks resolution to personnel issues related to team members • Ability to interact professionally with staff, clients, and outside consultants in a manner compatible with Company policies and expectations

Duties: • Responsible for assigned projects, including meeting delivery schedules and budget. Must be able to lead a team of Design Engineers and Project Engineers. • Provides effective communication to clients regarding all aspects of an assigned project. • Able to attend and effectively participate in meetings with government agencies, clients, outside consultants and team members. • Provides guidance and is responsible for the design approach for projects of all sizes. • Responsible for the engineering analysis and design of drainage projects. • Coordinates with other disciplines and outside consultants as required. • Shows a high level of understanding of hydrologic, hydraulic and general engineering principles. • Shows a high level of understanding of governmental, public, and private development regulations, codes and ordinances. • Responsible for conceptualizing the initial design approach for a project, or overall responsibility for the engineering work on a project of limited scope. • Prepares client proposals and budgets. • Assists and or creates work plans and schedules. • Conducts or coordinates engineering work involving conventional engineering practices. • Reviews and approves invoices. • Participates in marketing endeavors. • Trains and mentors Design Engineers and Project Engineers.
