We are seeking an experienced Director, Marketing Communications, to join IPG's Global Marketing Team. This pivotal leadership role offers the opportunity to shape and drive the strategic vision of our global marketing communications programs across multiple industry segments. The Director will lead a global team responsible for developing, managing, and executing comprehensive marketing communications initiatives while also playing an active, hands-on role in strategy execution.
Responsibilities
- Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction to IPG's global team of marketing and communications professionals, setting clear objectives and fostering an innovative, performance-driven culture.
- Develop, manage, and execute marketing communications strategies that effectively promote IPG's brand, products, and solutions to a diverse, global audience across multiple industry markets.
- Direct, plan and execute marketing communication functions to ensure timely, high quality, and efficient project delivery.
- Oversee the event and tradeshow teams, ensuring maximum impact and brand alignment for all IPG's global event participation.
- Implement demand generation campaigns that strengthen the sales pipeline, leveraging multiple digital and traditional platforms.
- Lead IPG's digital marketing efforts, including website, social media, and email campaigns, to ensure cohesive online brand experience; implement SEO and SEM strategies to drive online visibility, traffic, and engagement.
- Analyze key marketing metrics and campaign performance to assess ROI; provide insights for continuous improvement and recommend data-driven adjustments to enhance campaign effectiveness.
- Mentor, coach, and manage a team of marketing professionals, fostering an environment of growth and innovation, maintaining a structured approach to talent development, enhancing team members' skills and effectiveness.
- Develop and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns that drive engagement, generate leads, and increase brand awareness.
- Maintain collaborative relationships with Strategic Marketing, Marketing Operations, senior stakeholders and external partners to align tactical activities to key strategic objectives.
- Maintain communication with organizational leaders, reporting on deadlines, progress and staff and resources
- Manage budget for marketing and communications initiatives, ensure efficient use of resources to maximize impact.
- Manage external agency and freelance support, maintaining cost efficiency and quality output.
- Perform other essential duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in related field required
- 10+ years of demonstrated experience managing marketing and communications to advance an organization's mission and goals, including experience in a multifaceted organization working with multiple products and brands.
- Experience working with, and managing relationships with, external agencies, freelancers, and vendors.
- Experience managing multifaceted projects involving multiple products or brands. Familiarity with tools like Asana (or similar project management tools), Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Analytics.
- Ability to develop high-level strategies while being hands-on in managing day-to-day operations and execution.
- Proven experience managing a global team, including mentoring, coaching and workload management.
- Proficient in analyzing marketing metrics, using insights to optimize campaign performance and drive continuous improvement.
- Proven results managing global multi-channel marketing campaigns and optimizing activities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of creative production processes, digital marketing tactics, and public relations.
- Demonstrated experience at managing creative production schedules, digital marketing tactics, and public relations efforts, ensuring alignment with overall branding and company goals.
- Master's Degree in related field preferred
- Experience in B2B marketing, particularly within the manufacturing industry, is a plus.
