Description:

The Accounting Manager reports to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for accurate financial reporting and financial statements, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. The accounting manager ensures companies financial wellbeing by tracking revenue and expenses, consolidating and analyzing financial data, preparing special reports, maintaining internal controls and other best practices, and reporting activity to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department
  • Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for senior management
  • Conduct account analysis and reconciliation
  • Assist in budget preparation and monitoring
  • Provide support for audits and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Supervise accounting staff and ensure deadlines and performance goals are met
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, debits, credits, general journal entries, and account analysis.
  • Experience in corporate accounting, financial management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Effective communication, both written and oral.
  • Strong data analysis, attention to detail and excellent organization skills.
  • Extensive MS Excel and Office skills and a high aptitude for technology in general.

Not required but preferred:

CPA certification
