Role Overview:

DroneDeploy's business and product suite continues to grow rapidly and we are looking for a seasoned, customer focused Sr. Mgr of Marketing Operations to join our fast-growing team This role will tap into your analytical and problem solving skills as well as your systems, processes and people leadership ability. As a successful candidate, you will play a key role in ensuring that we are deploying the most cutting edge marketing functionality, successfully measuring and influencing future investment & development and coordinating across a spectrum of GTM contributors and leaders. You will work with executives and sales leaders as well as cross-functionally with marketing and product owners to identify, configure, and deploy new business processes and associated technology.

Work Environment

Work Model: 100% remote position. Able to work proficiently from home.

Work Hours: Generally Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, in either PST, MT, CST or EST

Work Travel: Available to travel domestically a few times per year for client engagements, training sessions, and company events.

Job Responsibilities:

Marketing Strategy and Leadership: Define the Marketing Operations vision and strategy.
    • Develop and manage a comprehensive marketing operations roadmap, coordinating closely with Product Marketing and DemandGen teams to plan and execute campaigns, and fine-tune the customer journey in line with product changes.
    • Cultivate a culture of innovation and experimentation across marketing teams, spearheading the adoption of cutting-edge marketing solutions and technologies to enhance channel strategies.
    • Lead the assessment and implementation of new marketing technologies, ensuring their alignment with business goals and maximizing ROI through strategic investments.
    • Leverage demographic, firmographic, behavioral, and intent data to inform campaign prioritization and strategy, supporting ABM efforts through list curation, tiering, and technology enablement.
    • Enhance website visitor experience through personalized pathing, minimizing clicks and redundant data entry, and integrating AI for content customization and operational efficiency.
    • Develop and oversee the strategy and roadmap for MOPs systems, focusing on architecture improvement and new technology integration.
Analytics: Implement data-driven decision-making processes across the marketing department
    • Ensure funnel data is analyzable by key dimensions as defined in partnership with Marketing leadership
    • Optimize lead scoring and qualification processes
    • Collaborate with sales to improve lead handoff processes
    • Implement A/B testing and experimentation strategies for funnel optimization
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize marketing spend
    • Analyze TOFU conversions to regularly advise and improve data enrichment, routing and marketing campaign assignments
    • Build systems to audit lead routing and change management deployments to ensure data completeness and accuracy
Process management: Establishing standard best practices across marketing operations
    • In-depth knowledge of Marketo for executing marketing campaigns, lead scoring, email marketing, and automation workflows.
    • Expertise in creating, managing, and optimizing web forms within Marketo to capture leads, including understanding of form design principles, A/B testing, and conversion rate optimization.
    • Standardize webform design and functionality across inbound, partner, and customer referral programs, ensuring data enrichment and accurate lead routing for high-importance leads.
    • Implement modern reporting methods and audit systems to track and enrich inbound data effectively, including modernizing the email intake process with Jira forms.
    • Define and enforce Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for campaign builds, form changes, and marketing requests, ensuring timely and efficient execution.
    • Streamline website navigation to minimize clicks and avoid dead ends, keeping content up-to-date and reflective of current marketing initiatives.
    • Support the customer journey through strategic system enhancements and effective deployment, including optimizing website chatbot interactions and sustaining a strong partner and customer referral program.
Job Requirements:
    • Marketing Expertise: A deep understanding of marketing operations, with 4+ years of experience in a similar role.
    • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with Sales & Marketing technology tools, including Marketo and Salesforce, and the ability to evaluate and implement new tools as needed.
    • Data-driven mindset: Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills, with experience in marketing analytics and reporting.
    • Budget Management: Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize marketing budgets effectively.
    • Team Leadership: Proven experience in building and leading high-performing teams, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented culture.
    • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present insights effectively.
    • Strategic Thinker: A strategic mindset to align marketing operations with the broader company goals.
    • Process Optimization: Strong process optimization skills with a focus on efficiency and data integrity.
    • Continuous Learning: Willingness to stay updated with the latest marketing technology trends and best practices.
    • Bachelor's Degree: A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field is typically required
    • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving environment.
    • Professional Certifications: Marketo certification
