About the position: The Business Development Director will report directly to the Vice President for Clinical Education and is focused on acquiring new US healthcare institutional partnerships to grow AMOpportunities B2B revenue. This role is eligible for a competitive commission plan based on new sales generated. Essential Functions: Strategic planning: Developing and executing a new business development strategy, setting goals, and implementing sales initiatives. Identifying new partnerships, as well as expanding into new markets Sales management: Prospecting for new clients, identifying leads, and moving them through the sales cycle. Approach sales from a strategic, long-term perspective, building relationships with expanding schools. Ensure smooth transition of new school partners over to order fulfillment and operations teams Implementation: Facilitate the successful handoff to the Account Management team. This includes facilitating an onboarding meeting and ensuring necessary account properties are populated Client relations: Building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, advisors and co-workers Financial management: Using data-driven analysis to improve sales revenue, preparing financial projections, and tracking sales progress Events and school site visits: Attending conferences, conducting school site visits, and managing other related events, including webinars. Travel expectation 20 - 30% Training: Training and mentoring business development staff to improve sales processes and meet expectations Collaboration: Work closely with other internal teams to attract new clients, improve services and identify opportunities for growth Knowledge: Strong understanding of AMO's products or services as well as business position and competition to keep business competitive Education/Experience/Skills: Bachelor’s degree in related field, master's preferred 7+ years' experience in B2B account sales, business development and/or account management in a competitive environment. Demonstrated sales results.
