JOB SUMMARY The Business Development Manager, Cruise based in Miami USA, is a critical business partner and contributor. As a key member of the executive leadership team, this leader will be responsible for the global commercial strategy and implementation of marketing, ecommerce, and sales activities. This brand new position offers a rare opportunity to join the management team of an industry powerhouse with a family feel. Reporting into the Group Commercial Director, this role requires the successful candidate to play a key role as part of a team to represent the Anglo-Eastern brand and develop business across the commercial offerings for AECMI and AELM in line with the corporate ethos and shareholder values. Our client provides third-party ship management and associated services with more than 39,000 seafarers and over 2,000 shore-based professionals who support their global client base. Headquartered in Hong Kong, the group has more than 29 offices from The Americas through to Europe and Asiapac. THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT Understanding of the cruise industry and previous business development experience in a similar role. Ability to present an acumen for sales and marketing. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and creative thinking skills, with a high level of attention to detail. A keen interest and willingness to embrace new developments in technology. Aptitude for delivering impressive presentations. Understanding of factors affecting budget projections. Ability to conceptualize, prepare, and present client-branded concepts based on the market position. Ability to collate and disseminate information across the group. Access to Owners and Operators of cruise vessels and the decision makers within those companies responsible for selecting asset (ship) managers and hospitality partners. JOB DESCRIPTION The role responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Assisting with preparations, compilation, and subsequent submission of tenders/proposals for AECMI and AELM, following up on leads worldwide until closure. Undertaking projects to develop market intelligence through extensive market research and innovation. Assisting with suggesting and updating content for commercial reports such as client presentations, ESG disclosure, Foresights, Portfolio documents, etc. Attending cruise industry events to create a network for business development, gather market intelligence, and create visibility for the organization. Overseeing and approving the marketing and sales plans and budgets. Overseeing digital strategies for domestic websites for user experience, capturing leads, and conversion. Working closely and collaborating with Clients, Presidents, and CEOs to provide ongoing sales programs. Managing external advertising and PR agencies. Participating actively with the Leadership team, collaborating with all other functional leaders to deliver the best outcomes for the two Cruise divisions.
