About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Data Strategist for Cruise Operations to join our team at Carnival Cruise Line. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and implementation of master data management strategies that will transform our data elements into an enterprise source of truth.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Define the vision and lead the development of building master data management business capability to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across the organization.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify all data requirements and best practices across brands and define data governance policies and procedures.
  3. Oversee the design and implementation of future state Asset Management MDM Tool(s) to support associated data governance policies.
  4. Establish and maintain data governance frameworks, standards, and best practices to support ongoing data management activities.
  5. Provide leadership and guidance to a global team of MDM specialists, including resource allocation, performance management, and professional development.
  6. Partner with IT teams and external vendors to leverage technology solutions and tools for effective master data management.
  7. Monitor MDM performance metrics and KPIs to track data quality, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  8. Stay informed about industry trends and emerging technologies in master data management and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Master's degree a plus.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in master data management and MDM solutions. Extensive knowledge of master data management concepts, principles, and best practices.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Understanding of AMOS (Maintenance, Inventory, and Procurement) and Oracle.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results, manage change, and adapt to evolving business needs.

Compensation and Benefits:

This role comes with a competitive salary range of $180,000 - $220,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits, including a 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase plan, paid time off, sick leave, holidays, and more.
