One of Insight Global's clients is looking for a Sales/ Business Development Representative to join their team in either Lake Charles, LA or Beaumont, TX.

This company offers fire, security, and life safety solutions for various industries and locations.

This person will be responsible for generating quality fire sprinkler contract sales as well as estimating and preparing proposals for fire sprinkler systems. In addition to cultivating new business relationships, maintaining existing customer relations, and ensuring the fulfillment of established sales goals, the incumbent will be responsible for laying out bids, completing material take-offs, obtaining vendor pricing, and ordering materials.

Primary Job Duties:

* Perform research and generate sales leads for prospective customers.

* Build strategic sales plans.

* Identify, reach, and build excellent customer relations with key decision makers.

* Initiate sales calls with new clients and follow up with those customers.

* Estimate work and develop proposals, building excellent margins into secured work.

* Present proposals to decision makers to negotiate and close contracts within designated scope.

* Layout work, plan, and build a schedule with team that accomplishes the needs of the customer.

* Generate quality sales.

* Consult with various teams /management as necessary to ensure a positive experience and delivery of a quality product for the customer.

* Meet with clients and customers to effectively maintain and strengthen working relationships.

* Ensure strict adherence to the Operational Excellence programs.

* Support corporate initiatives and company profitability targets.

* Ensure timely invoicing and collections for services rendered.

* Visit job sites to measure production, quality, and safety.

* Attend job meetings and provide regular status updates to management.

* Provide timely and accurate entries into operating systems.

* Obtain and retain a valid driver's license, and a TWIC card.

* In addition to building and maintaining a cohesive team atmosphere with superintendents and field personnel, must maintain positive and cooperative working relationships with project managers, designers, fabrication shop management, suppliers, executive staff, and all support functions within the Company.

* Perform other job duties as required.

Desired Qualifications:

* Proven as a successful sales professional, preferably service sales in a similar, industrial market including refineries and chemical plants.

* Has a well-established professional network within the industrial market surrounding the branch office.

* NICET Certification in Water Based Systems Layout.

* Sales, estimating, and/or design experience in the industrial fire sprinkler industry.

* Understands Code requirements for sprinkler installation work.

* Experience in refineries and chemical plants.

* Ability to read complex prints and plans.

* Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or business administration.

* NICET III in either Fire Alarm and/or Special Hazard Suppression Systems.

* Graduate of an accredited Sprinkler Apprenticeship Program.

* Possesses a TWIC card.

* Passion for sales and people.

* Ability to identify and reach decision-makers.

* Comfortable with initiating sales calls with new clients and following up with those customers.

* Strong business acumen.

* Experience working against deadlines and a good track record of completing projects on time.

* Advanced communication skills allowing effective communication with field personnel, customers, & management.

* Solid decision making and problem-solving skills.

Strong time management skills with great attention to detail, able to multitask and prioritize workflow.

* Demonstrates strong work ethic and is a self-starter with the ability to use independent judgement.

* Ability to establish and inspire collective pursuit of a shared vision and work effectively as a team player.

* High school diploma or GED

* Working knowledge of applicable NFPA Codes

* Proven dedication to safety compliance and safe work practices

* Reputable adherence to the S&S Core Values

* Comfort and proficiency with computer systems, proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

* Demonstrates desire for a long-term career and a commitment to continuous improvement.

* Must possess and retain a valid driver's license and be able to drive short and long distances for work. Has a safe driving record.

* Ability to obtain and maintain TWIC card.

* Ability to work long hours and weekends when necessary as well as the ability to travel overnight frequently.

* Ability to wear PPE such as ear plugs, safety glasses, gloves, steel toe shoes, and/or fall protection.

* Ability to stand and walk on uneven surfaces in construction and/or heavy industrial sites, climb ladders or and stairs.

* Ability to withstand mild to moderate exposure to moving machinery, marked changes in temperature or humidity, and dust, fumes, and gases.

* Ability to work inside and outside in hot, cold, wet, or dry environments for prolonged periods of time.

* Ability to pass post-offer and random drug screens
