**Lead & coordinate the daily work programs for our Line Mechanics. Ensure the safe and continued supply of electricity to our customers.**

**The Opportunity:**

We are excited to go to market with this role due to an internal promotion. We now have an opportunity for a Team Leader to join our Electra family, managing our team of Line Mechanics. Based in Levin, your focus is primarily to ensure that Electra continues to deliver excellence in workmanship across our lines business supporting the continued safe and reliable supply of electricity to our customers across the Horowhenua and Kapiti regions of NZ.

A typical day will see you organising your team for their daily work programs. Ensuring that they are in the right place, at the right time with the right tools and safety gear in hand before they go out to the field. Youll ensure the right permits are issued and that all the relevant safety protocols are followed strictly and meet regulation requirements. You are there to essentially lead & see that the operation runs efficiently and smoothly day to day. **What you need:**

Ideally you have 2-3+ years of experience in a similar role. Youre knowledge of the electricity distribution environment is solid, and an awareness of electrical systems will serve you well. Youre someone that is hungry to learn and grow. The opportunity to develop your leadership capability is important and will flourish as you work closely with the Service Delivery Supervisor in his role. Ideally, youve gained some project management experience which will enable you to coordinate work programs efficiently and effectively. This is a great platform to build your career with Electra

**Other requirements of the role:**

* Tertiary qualified - NZ Qualified and Registered Line Mechanic Level 4

* Full Class One and Two drivers licence

* Good Computer knowledge, mainly outlook, permit creating to forward to our control room

* Hours of Operation: Must be able to commit to Monday Friday 8-4.30pm
