YOUR ROLE
In this role, you'll not only contribute to our mission but also help shape the lives of individuals we serve. As a Community Outreach Liaison, you'll be at the forefront of our outreach and client recruitment activities, building relationships with local community based organizations and assessing potential clients for our programs.
This position's key responsibilities include:
- Create a marketing plan and monthly outreach calendar of events. Partner with the Director, Marketing & Communications on marketing materials and methods of outreach in response to program and client needs.
- Manage outreach and client recruitment activities. This includes, but is not limited to, building partnerships with community members, community based organizations, city agencies and religious organizations with the intent of educating community members regarding Goodwill's programs and services and connecting with potential clients.
- Meet with potential clients and assess their individual development needs. Determine if the clients may be a good match for Goodwill's programs.
- Follow-up with contacts and all potential clients in a timely manner.
- Recommend and implement strategies to maximize program recruitment and participation.
- Is socially concerned. Showing an awareness of pertinent issues associated with society or the community you live in.
- Communicates effectively.You excel when interacting with others.

- Must have a valid New York State Driver's License along with reliable transportation.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of success working with underserved individuals.
- Ability and enthusiasm to initiate contact and engage with the community to market the program through in-person and remote meetings, social media and online platforms, with the goal of successfully recruiting and retaining clients.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends.
- Client-focused, culturally competent, high energy, empathetic, flexible and hard-working.
- Bilingual helpful.
Goodwill regularly evaluates our compensation and benefit packages to ensure we remain competitive. Starting pay will be based on a candidate's experience, skills and education.
- The pay range for this position is $40,000/year to $50,000/year.
