**Excel Truck Group**, a growing East Coast heavy truck dealership, is seeking an **IT Support Specialist** to join their **Roanoke, VA** team. This critical role is responsible for ensuring proper computer operations so that end users can accomplish organizational tasks. This includes receiving, prioritizing, documenting and actively resolving end user help requests. Problem resolution may involve the use of diagnostics and help request tracking tools, as well as require that the individual give hands-on help at the desktop level
If you have **IT support experience, this is a career you need to explore**. Sequel or SQL programing experience is preferred but not required.

**Duties and Responsibilities:**
* Field incoming help requests from our Excel end users in a courteous manner. Build confidence as a solution provider.
* Document all pertinent end user issues for resolution.
* Hardware support for our lap-top and desk top users. In addition, able to support our Server room maintenance.
* Work closely with our IT Support vendor to insure a high level of support for our companys end users.
* Is the point of contact for our dealerships with telephone system support. Trouble shooting and working with our vendor. In addition, able to install and support security cameras, TV monitors and other miscellaneous devices throughout our dealerships.
* Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware applications to better support our organization.
* Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, and configuring systems and applications. Test fixes to ensure issues have been adequately resolved.
* Purchase approved software and hardware for deployment. Able to upload software on laptops and prepare these devices for our end users.
* Perform related duties consistent with the scope and intent of the position.
