Essential Job Functions

Work involves reviewing, evaluating, and communicating secure configuration baselines according to agency processes. Works under minimal supervision, with extensive latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

DUTIES

Uses established benchmarks such as CIS, DISA STIG, etc. to determine risks to systems for non-compliant controls. Supports the implementation of computer system security plans with agency personnel and outside vendors. Documents non-compliance with agency standard configurations and communicates risk to key stakeholders. Assists with refining processes and procedures for accomplishing established workflows. Research device and system component documentation for best practices for management. Document findings against information systems and assist owners with development of remediation plans . Performs related work as assigned. Top Skills:

4-7 years of experience/knowledge of common information security management frameworks such as the NIST Risk Management Framework, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS) 4-7 years of experience/knowledge of common security benchmarks such as DISA STIG, CIS, SANS, etc. What's in it for you?
