The internship period may range from October 2024 through the end of April 2025 depending on student availability and project needs. This Intern position will be part-time capacity at 12-14 hours per week. Candidates hired for the position may work remotely within the United States (U.S.) or from one of our U.S. office locations. This does not include U.S. territories. Responsibilities The responsibilities for the position include: Conduct systematic literature reviews to support research activities Assist staff in the review, identification and development of scholarly information describing research findings Participate in the collection, analysis, and review of research and evaluation data Develop spreadsheets and databases to support project activities Analyze quantitative and qualitative research data and contribute to the reporting and interpretation of findings Support communication, dissemination and outreach activities as needed Qualifications Education, Knowledge, and Experience: Must be a current student for the duration of the internship and enrolled in a Doctoral degree program in fields such as economics, psychology, sociology, statistics, computer science, public policy, public health or other social science related fields. Experience with and/or knowledge of data collection and analysis methodologies and techniques, such as survey design, analysis of program administrative data, and conduct of structured interviews, observations, and focus groups. Experience using statistical software programs such as R, SPSS, or Stata to clean and analyze large data sets is required. Knowledge and skills with multivariate statistical analyses are required. Skills: Dependable and comfortable working independently and as a member of a team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy when writing. Effective communicator that can work with individuals at all levels and from diverse backgrounds. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate efficiently in a virtual work environment. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite or the equivalent (word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software). Proficiency with statistical software and analyses of large data sets.
