Reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources and working under minimal direction . The Risk manager will be responsible for handling all general liability and worker’s compensation claims for multiple hotels.

What we will need from you

Manage insurance vendor relationship with the company.

Manage subrogation claims, including performing audits, negotiations and managing case until closed.

Field incoming phone calls and correspondence with insurance carriers, attorneys and other claimants.

Assist in the preparing of confidential legal documents, reports and correspondence.

Pull reports and analyze data as needed.

Keep abreast of, monitor, and analyze developing trends and changes in regulatory compliance laws, rules, regulations, and advises management of operational impact of such trends and changes.

Help promote a culture of risk awareness across portfolio through trainings and workshops with executive and other team members.

Assist with project management. Complete other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability

Knowledge of the safety rules and regulations mandated by federal and state laws

Knowledge of workers’ compensation claim procedures

Ability to develop and implement training programs

Ability to prepare reports and make appropriate recommendations

Ability to be flexible and work with a team

Ability to work independently with little direction

Ability to follow policy and perform to enhance professionalism in appearance and behavior
