RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures continuous improvement and strategic alignment of manufacturing operations in the CNC and Press Brake departments. Oversees comprehensive safety training and adherence to safety protocols among associates, fostering a culture of consistent safety practices. Collaborates with engineering and safety management to evaluate and enhance processes for ergonomic efficiency and safety within the department. Drives performance enhancements in CNC and Press Brake operations, elevating product quality metrics and ensuring adherence to customer specifications through coordination with the quality department. Coordinates closely with planning and production control teams to maintain consistent production schedules, making informed decisions on staffing levels and overtime allocation to meet customer demands. Manages the smooth flow of products through manufacturing departments, ensuring accurate production recording and seamless ERP system utilization. Leads initiatives to boost productivity in the CNC and Press Brake departments, optimizing direct production labor efficiency and liaising with engineering for continuous process improvement. Exercises fiscal responsibility by monitoring and reducing spending within the CNC and Press Brake departments in alignment with annual budgets, actively participating in the budgeting process for accuracy. Provides leadership, coaching, and performance evaluations to group leaders and associates, ensuring adequate training levels and fostering professional development within assigned departments.

EDUCATION Bachelor's Degree

EXPERIENCE 10 to 15 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and training.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS Possesses a robust understanding of operations management processes and manufacturing procedures. Demonstrates expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications at an intermediate level. Comfortable with software tools including Internet Explorer, Design software, Development software, Human Resources software, and Inventory software. Highly familiar and adept with Manufacturing software (ERP) and Project Management software.
