Under the general administrative direction of the Staff Services Manager I, the Position Control Analyst independently performs analytical position control functions. Responsible for ensuring all regulations are met regarding position inventory for the institution utilizing tracking systems to ensure positions are established, re-classed or deleted pursuant to activations, deactivations or institutional needs. Serves as liaison between CDCR Headquarters personnel and the institution.
Limited term 12 months; may be extended up to 24 months or become permanent.
Individuals who are eligible for a Training and Development assignment may also be considered for this position(s).

STAFF SERVICES ANALYST
Founded in 1885, the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) serves as one of the nation's largest, and most diverse correctional departments. We are dedicated to enhancing public safety through the safe and secure incarceration of offenders, effective parole supervision, and rehabilitative strategies to successfully reintegrate offenders into our communities. It is our vision to protect the public from crime and victimization.
California State Prison-Sacramento is a high security male institution located in Folsom, CA. Employees may regularly be required to be in close vicinity of inmates and may visit various areas within the secured housing units.

In addition to evaluating each candidate's relative ability, as demonstrated by quality and breadth of experience, the following factors will provide the basis for competitively evaluating each candidate:
Must have knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, and bargaining contract provisions affecting personnel record keeping, personnel transactions, payroll, and certification processes used in State department. Represent the department on intra/interdepartmental teams; coordinate a variety of personnel/payroll transactions; research critical transactions and recommend alternative solutions.
