Job Summary

The Human Resources Manager will serve as the primary point of contact for HR-related matters and will be responsible for facilitating critical generalist HR functions, including onboarding, employee relations, benefits, training, and compliance, within the company's cultivation facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with recruitment and interview process, ensuring a fair and inclusive hiring experience.
  • Conduct employee onboarding, including submitting new and renewal badge applications to the relevant authorities.
  • Guide employees through the benefits enrollment process, ensuring a smooth transition to company benefits.
  • Conduct investigations as assigned, maintaining confidentiality and objectivity.
  • Visit and support personnel at various locations, providing a positive and professional HR experience.
  • Process paperwork for new hires, terminations, and other status changes, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on FMLA and COBRA guidelines and requirements, providing guidance to employees and management.
  • Review employee records for FMLA eligibility, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Respond to requests in a timely manner, providing excellent customer service.
  • Draft eligibility and ineligibility letters, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Serve as the point of contact for locations with questions on time clocks, payroll, or benefits, providing expert guidance.
  • Assist the Regional HR Director and VP with research and special projects, contributing to the development of HR initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 2 years of human resources experience required.
  • Human Resource Information System (HRIS) experience required.
  • General knowledge of EEO, FMLA, ADA, FLSA, OSHA, Workers Compensation, DOL, and other federal and state laws and regulations.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management or relevant field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of human resources experience preferred.
  • Previous experience in the manufacturing industry preferred.
  • Labor relations experience with CBA interpretation and grievance/arbitration process preferred.
  • HIPPA experience preferred.
  • HRCI and/or SHRM certification is a plus.
Physical and Mental Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to remain in a stationary position, move and/or position oneself, communicate, operate and/or prepare, place, position objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally move packages weighing up to 10 lb. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close observation and the ability to adjust focus.
