Job Summary

We are looking to add an experienced Digital Hardware Engineer II to our team in Miramar, FL. The successful candidate will work with Product Management, designers, and fellow engineers to develop innovative new products from concept to production. Responsibilities include implementation of circuits including schematic and PCB layout, testing and validation, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.

Minimum Job Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or related field of study
  • 5 to 10 years of electrical hardware design experience
  • Broad hardware design background including power supplies, digital & analog circuits, memory, and interconnect.
  • Proficient in component level circuit design of high-performance DSP, microprocessor & microcontroller-based embedded systems
  • Knowledgeable on solid state memory, touch interfaces, LED & LCD displays, and various analog and digital sensors and their associated interface circuitry
  • Working knowledge of industry standard interfaces (e.g., DDR, PCIe, I2C, SPI, UART, USB 3.0 and 10G or faster Ethernet, etc.)
  • Experience with Bluetooth, BLE, IoT, and app driven embedded systems/products.
  • Experience working with test equipment (e.g., digital oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, temperature chambers, etc.)
  • Experience with RTOS, Linux, Android for embedded systems.
  • Experience with high-speed simulation of DDR memory, Ethernet, and USB subsystems.
  • Proficient with Schematic Capture and PCB layout software
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects.
Job Duties / Responsibilities
  • Full spectrum product development (concept, design, implementation, test, production, and support)
  • Design complex systems with multiple hardware, mechanical and software components.
  • Deliver designs which meet quality, schedule, and cost targets.
  • Design communication links between the processor, other internal subsections, and external modules.
  • Formulate test plans to ensure component and system level performance.
  • Validate testing to ensure performance over temperature and voltage extremes.
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis and provide permanent fixes for issues.
  • Conduct and participate in hardware and system design reviews.
  • Interface closely with other teams such as Product Management, Design, Software, Mechanical, Manufacturing teams and with external component suppliers
  • Design and conduct experiments and analyze and interpret data.
  • Assign tasks and work closely with engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
  • Assist with proposals to obtain funding for engineering projects and programs.
  • Support the team when needed.
  • Follows all policies and procedures of Occupational Safety and Health, Human Resources and Quality Department. Reports any safety deficiency to immediate supervisor.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
