R&D Chemist II

Prime Matter Labs is seeking a highly skilled R&D Chemist II to join our team of scientists in Miami, FL. As a key member of our R+D team, you will work on enhancing our current products and developing new products that leverage the latest market trends and technologies.

• Develop and refine new personal care product formulas for our branded clients from brief to approval.
• Manage assigned projects from brief through first production, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
• Collaborate with the Process Engineer for smooth and efficient transfers from R&D to production.
• Supervise pilot and first production batches for cosmetic and OTC products.
• Craft innovative concepts and develop and test new product innovations against hypotheses.
• Propose new product modifications and innovations based on research in market and ingredient trends.

• 5+ years of experience working in personal care and OTC formula development.
• 3+ years of leading product development of new, innovative formulas and ingredients.
• Track record of delivering innovative solutions to tough formulation problems.
• Deep care and ownership of all work.
• Interest in providing a safe work environment.
• Impressive interpersonal and communication skills in small and large groups.
• Curiosity for the role that new technology can play in product development.
• The ability to make tough decisions quickly and take ownership over the outcome.
• A Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a closely related field.
• Undergraduate level study in mathematics, organic chemistry, and physical chemistry.
