Job Overview: The HR Services Specialist will provide exceptional customer service by consulting, advising, and assisting team members with payroll and benefit-related programs along with other HR-related topics. Administers benefit and compensation plans/programs while maintaining compliance with SMSC policies and procedures.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience working in benefits administration, payroll, compensation or HR generalist role.
  • Education background in human resources required, HR internship experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service focus with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the willingness and ability to work with all levels.
  • Experience with data entry/maintenance/reporting in Human Resource system. Experience with human capital management systems such as UKG (formerly UltiPro), Workday, Oracle, ADP, etc.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Office products specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to partner with all levels of Human Resources, leaders, team members and employees.
  • Commitment to high quality of work and excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and handle multiple priorities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
