This starts with bringing aboard the best possible team What You Will Do Here To provide support and co-ordination across all aspects of electrical & instrumentation technical work streams, during each stage of design-build projects, from early design stages to commissioning.Technical work streams may include but are not limited to, early scoping, design due diligence, oversee design activities, constructability and commissioning. Assist with proposal process. Ensuring that the design developed meets the technical specifications of the project as well as the applicable law, codes, standards, etc. Perform technical reviews on HV/MV electrical systems (power and distribution) Perform technical reviews on control & instrumentation deliverables and well as protection and control systems. Provide technical expertise to the project team when needed. Ensure delivery of engineering in accordance with Aecon’s contractual requirements and construction needs. Ensure that quality is managed by our engineering providers. Drive an inclusive culture to promote equity, welcome different perspectives, and enable career progression by fostering a sense of belonging. What You Will Bring to The Team 10+ years of experience in consulting engineering firm. 2+ years of experience in an on-site construction environment. Will collaborate in a multi-discipline, multi-stakeholder environment. Educational and Industry experience requirements include an Electrical Engineering degree (or Control) with P.Eng. designation in any Canadian jurisdiction Able to be a big picture thinker, be a generalist. High level understanding of other technical disciplines considered a must. Experience across all stages of a project lifecycle from scoping to commissioning. Experience in project deliveries requirements for design-build (DB), progressive DB and contractor early contractor engagement projects would be desirable. Experience of large complex projects in industrial would be desirable. Understanding design and construction phases and associated typical engineering deliverables. Strong written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills (tact, diplomacy, influence etc.) skills are essential. Excellent customer service skills, a passion for problem ownership, and a customer-first attitude. Proven experience in priority setting, multitasking, and working with minimal direct supervision. Working knowledge of electrical design standards (CSA, IEEE, ANSI/IEC) Ability to establish and manage risks. Ability to learn and have high level of adaptability. Attention to details.
