Senior Sales Manager

Position Overview

You love space. You want to win in the race to elevate human consciousness by taking more people to space for a new perspective than ever before. This position is responsible for outbound and trade Sales channels. The Sr. Sales Manager (SSM) will lead the sales efforts to drive and achieve optimal results for all consumer and trade sales-related functions. You will be responsible for connecting with incoming direct and travel partners interested in booking a flight to the edge of space or on behalf of their clients. As the SSM, you will identify new markets of opportunity through travel trade, B2C, and B2B initiatives, secure resourceful marketing partnerships, and actively engage with all customers to ignite curiosity and passion, promote the company’s product, acquire prospects, and close on new customers.

As an SSM, you will have the shared responsibility over the direct and trade partnership sourcing process: identify key players, build a pipeline, manage direct and trade partner outreach and communication, onboard new partners, and assist in reporting and contract negotiations. Building and maintaining relationships with prospective and existing direct and trade partners is essential to the Senior Sales Managers role, as is meeting or exceeding corporate growth goals. In Sales, you will report to and support the Head of Global Sales with day-to-day sales operations.

Role And Responsibilities

Responsible for revenue generation of existing and potential consumer markets, direct sales, and travel trade. Drives sales initiatives to achieve annual sales goals and department target. Oversee the booking process and management of Explorer Flight Reservation Agreements by issuing deposit agreements and payment instructions via DocuSign. Assist theHead of Global Salein maintaining consortia partner relationship, by providing company updates and maintaining website presence. Analyze sales data to present monthly and quarterly business reviews with select accounts. Assist the Head of Global Sale with sales and revenue reporting. Build relationships with prospective partners and understanding their trends / behaviors. Develop account plans, contract negotiations and marketing/promotional strategies for assigned travel trade and direct accounts. Gather and communicate reporting on customer business profile (ROI, cost of sale, yield, retention, automation). Identity the top 50 partners and how to work the territory with the turn on accounts. Review existing contracts and identify opportunities for growth and incentive. Successfully execute strategies required to achieve the company’s financial targets as well as individual booking goals. Assist in managing the account relationships, communication, engagement, issuance, and negotiation of accounts annual contracts (working closely with Head of Global Sales to assure compliance of Space Perspective required guidelines. Help coordinate and effectively represent our product at special promotional direct and travel trade events as needed. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to resolve issues and deliver best-in-class support to our partners . Manage programs to collect partner feedback, distilling and sharing learnings with internal teams to advance partnership goals. Use the company’s CRM To manage territory activities as well as record and report sales progress with the agencies. Attend and assist with trade and account engagement events. Represent Space Perspective providing excellent service, consistent, prompt and professional communication and projecting a professional image at account conferences, trade shows, seminars, and other sales-related functions as appropriate.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field of study; or any equivalent combination of relevant background and/or sales experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrate outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Expertise in marketing, selling strategies and methodologies, strategic planning, analysis, and execution. Results-oriented, excellent organizational and administration skills with strong attention to detail, follow-up skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks while meeting company objectives. Prior negotiation and contract drafting skills, in addition to marketing strategies, analysis and cost of sale skills. Identify B2C and B2B business growth opportunities, builds and manages a sales strategy to drive new revenue, liaising with the Head of Global Sales to establish, grow, and maintain the consumer and Trade sales channel. Develop direct, and Trade sales strategies and use reporting metrics to measure, analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of the sales efforts. Familiar with luxury partners, travel trade, and critical decision-makers preferred. Identify new sales areas and outlets to creatively market the company’s product and directly engage customer prospects. Extend sales reach by uncovering third-party marketing partnerships that drive measurable acquisition of prospects and new customers through brand activation events, consumer-facing events, and marketing campaigns. Identify customer needs and trends in the high-net-worth landscape and analyzes customer feedback and customer drivers to create effective direct sales strategies. Execute direct consumer sales strategy and measures results, providing management with weekly and monthly progress and goal reports while maintaining regular dialogue with senior management regarding consumer sales performance. Develop and implements lead generation and management strategies to ensure high conversion rates and short/medium/long term sales pipeline in accordance with company targets. Work efficiently and confidently within a CRM to manage data and continue the growth of a lead generation program. Take a lead role in the development of proposals and presentations for sales and marketing materials to create and nurture potential customer engagement through to the sale. Understand of the fundamental drivers of the business, customers, partners, competitors, and the niche private space travel industry. Work in tandem with the sales & marketing team to create a trust-based marketing campaign centered on a customer referral program designed to organically grow B2C and Trade sales and foster brand loyalty. Can work in a demanding, start-up environment, working well under pressure. Willing to collaborate, inspire, and work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment with all team members.

Location

Space coast, Florida preferred. Current Mission Control is at Space Coast Air and Spaceport, Titusville. Ability to work remote is possible.
