Job Description – Technical Project Lead This position is responsible for the overall technical project leadership of controlled brake, suspension, or other chassis products for North America Development Centers. As Technical Project Leader (TPL) you are overall accountable for the technical planning and execution of the project. Lead a multi-cultural and multi-disciplined team composed of component managers and function and performance developers who are in offices/test facilities around the world. First point of contact for the overall technical development within the internal engineering teams; including software, calibration, hardware, and system. First point of contact for OEM in the areas of E/E, Software, Systems, and Vehicle Performance topics. Ensure system and software development, validation, and delivery are according to industry standards, guidelines and processes (e.g., ISO26262, ASPICE). Oversee vehicle application/calibration/tuning of Chassis Controlled feature algorithms based on established methodologies both in vehicle and lab/offline environments. Perform project management and project documentation according to specified processes. Provide monthly reporting of project status to senior management in USA. Perform work package definition and tracking, release planning, resource planning, and quality assurance tracking according to BWI Safety process landscape. Responsible for evaluating customer specifications including support of translating the system requirements into Windchill (ALM tool), evaluating requirement and test coverage, and supporting issue/ defect tracking. Support vehicle test environment and lead both internal and customer meetings. Prepare and communicate technical presentations for the customer. Flexible, willing to flex working hours to allow daily international collaboration while achieving a good work/life balance. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering (ME, EE, or related) 2 or more years of experience in technical project management, project lead, or project management 2 or more years of experience in automotive, motorsport or heavy equipment industry 1 or more years of vehicle networking, diagnostics and debugging complex systems and/or hands-on (mechanical or electrical) experience. Valid driver's license Preferred Knowledge Knowledge of vehicle dynamics and chassis systems Knowledge of vehicle communication protocols (CAN, 14229, Ethernet) Familiarity with software test tools such as, CANalyzer, CANape, CANoe Familiarity with Calibration (vehicle testing) related chassis systems Experience with vehicle and system test and release procedures in automotive, or related industry Good understanding of vehicle architecture and chassis control interfaces Capable of understanding embedded control software and communicating software changes Experience in systems / requirements engineering Hands on experience with Agile development methods (SCRUM. Kanban, etc.) Experience in Reactive Problem Solving (Is/ Is not, Fishbone, 5W), Change Management, Configuration Management, Defect Management People Skills Ability to structure, moderate and promote collaboration with international teams, negotiate with customers, support global organization, and understanding with working in global multicultural teams.
