The Group – Applied Solutions Group (“ASG”)
The Applied Solutions Group (“ASG”, or “Group”) is a platform of The Heico Companies, LLC (“Heico”). The Position
The Applied Solutions Group of The Heico Companies is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to assist the Group Finance team with:
Leading Monthly Reporting and Financial Analysis
Performing Planning, Forecasting and Strategic Planning
Leading High-Impact Commercial and Operational Projects.
Responsibilities
Leading Monthly Reporting and Financial Analysis
Analyzing business unit results, including MD&A, financials, and customer and product line revenue and margin detail, and investigating as necessary to understand trends and variances.
Preparing monthly presentations for executive meetings and leading the continued development of Group reporting and analysis deliverables, including financial results, key metrics, and variance reporting.
Partnering with business units to track commercial and operational KPIs and actionable metrics.
Performing Planning, Forecasting and Strategic Planning
Supporting the annual plan, quarterly forecast, and long-term strategic planning processes and preparing presentations for executive meetings.
Validating plan/forecast assumptions and reviewing financial statements to assist business units in developing more accurate financial forecasts.
Analyzing industry trends and benchmarking business unit plans/forecasts against key macro and micro indicators to inform organizational strategy and decision-making.
Validating quarterly forecasts via tracked industry outlooks to test business organic growth assumptions.
Working with the Sr. Manager Finance and Group CFO to validate strategic plan initiatives and financials.
Assisting in developing the ASG group corporate long-term plan.
Leading High-Impact Commercial and Operational Projects
Engaging with business units to implement SIOP process, providing continuing support and tracking accuracy on an ongoing basis.
Analyzing and data mining reported information on specific commercial initiatives.
Constructing financial models to aid in analyzing businesses, capital investment, and alternative business decisions.
Collaborating with the Group’s operating companies on analysis projects at the business unit level.
Identifying opportunities for automating reporting processes for more efficient use of data.
Working with the businesses to validate key commercial initiatives and strategy execution via financial outcomes.
Serving as a resource to the 19 businesses in analyzing actionable data to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
Requirements
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or related field.
CPA strongly preferred.
Work Experience
Two to four years of professional experience in commercial finance or corporate finance.
Manufacturing or CPG industry background highly preferred.
Experience working in team environments.
Experience working with multi-national corporations is a plus.
Skills And Abilities
Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience working with financial reporting consolidation software.
Good foundational knowledge and desire to work with data sets to analyze and extract information.
Data analysis and insight generation skills.
Communication and presentation skills.
Ability to balance multiple projects with overlapping timelines and deliverables.
Working Conditions/Travel Requirements
Hybrid work policy: 3 days in the office / 2 days remote each week.
Occasional travel to the Group’s operating businesses. Potential international travel.
