Job Summary:
The VP/Credit Data Analytics Manager is responsible for data and credit portfolio analysis prepared for internal and external stakeholders including Bank executives, auditors, and regulators. The Credit Analytics Manager will also be responsible for credit database development and design.
Pay Range: Base Compensation is dependent upon role, experience, and skill set: Min- $102,960/yr Max- $171,600/yr
Primary Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly and quarterly reports detailing trends and activities in the Bank's credit portfolios, including analysis and commentary on performance trends and economic observations* Perform regular and ad hoc analysis of the Bank's credit portfolios to support decision-making at the Executive and Board level* Present analytical findings to lenders, Executives, and Board members* Provide data and credit information to auditors and regulators as required
* Combine internal and external data in order to create industry, geographical, and peer analysis* Perform analysis on mortgages, HELOCs, credit cards and microloans to inform underwriting criteria* Coordinate with the Finance Department for purposes of accurate financial reporting on the credit portfolios, support CECL modeling assumptions, and provide credit detail for quarterly and annual press releases and SEC filings
* Manage and monitor credit data and definitions, and make recommendations regarding credit codes and structure in the bank's core systems* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to credit data management and reporting* Stay informed about industry best practices and new technologies to continually enhance the Bank's analytical capabilities
* This position may manage one or more junior team members.* Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university* Five or more years of relevant work experience in credit risk management and data analytics* Prior experience in underwriting, lending, or portfolio management* Prior experience formatting and transmitting data to external stakeholders including auditors and regulatory authorities* Strong proficiency in analytical tools such as Business Analytics, Excel, Power BI, Tableau and S&P Global; prior experience with nCino a plus* Deep understanding of credit risk models and scoring methodologies including risk grade classification, credit bureaus, and related statistical methods used in risk models* Prior experience working with CECL and its modeling methodologies
