The Company:
Western Steel Buildings is a private-label metal building supplier, working with our affiliates to deliver the highest-quality and most complete building package in the industry. We lead our industry in complex pre-engineered, structural, and hybrid steel building systems. We utilize the latest design technology and have licensed engineering staff to customize projects and achieve the optimal building solution for each client.
The Position:
The Sales Account Manager is responsible for developing, maintaining, and growing new and existing business within the organization to deliver pre-engineered and structural steel building systems and services to our clients. They are Western Steel Buildings' front-line representatives and the face of our company to our clients. We view this extremely important position first and foremost as an ambassador for Western Steel Buildings.
Responsibilities:
The Sales Account Manager will sell and manage new Western Steel Buildings projects from the initial client contact through the construction and completion of the project by the client.
Proactively research prospective accounts in targeted markets, pursue leads, and develop strategies to gain new clients.
Must become knowledgeable about all facets of Steel Buildings from design to completion, including a general understanding of steel erection and concrete work.
Will professionally collaborate with our Service Department to facilitate building fabrication, delivery, and installation.
Will become proficient in the technical aspects of Western Steel Buildings, including proficiency in reading blueprints, site planning, snow load, wind load, etc.
Will be able to demonstrate proficiency in building projects, including how the process of constructing a building works, from breaking ground to site work, foundation design, electrical planning, lighting requirements for different applications, hangar doors, curtain walls, mezzanines, HVAC, fire sprinkler systems, insulated panel systems, custom wall finishes, etc.
Will become proficient in the use of internal metal building design software.
Will add value to clients and projects by selling recommended accessories, installation, and other items that reflect Western Steel Building’s Mission Statement. Will keep detailed notes and upload all project documents using Western Steel Buildings’ proprietary CRM.
Skills & Qualifications:
Three or more years of sales or business development experience within a similar industry
Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills
Proficiency with sales management software and CRM
