Overview

We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer for our Park City, UT Location. The Systems Engineer is a member of the Gear Systems Design and Development Group. The Systems Engineer will work closely with the Customer, Program Management, and other engineering disciplines utilizing sound Systems Engineering principles and processes to achieve compliant and technically sound product development solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the System Engineering and Risk Identification / Mitigation duties involving design, development, evaluation, and modification of gear systems.
  • Perform technical requirements identification and analysis, verification and validation, cost/risk identification and mitigation, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Perform analyses at all levels of product from concept to qualification to operation and maintenance to disposal.
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total system solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
  • Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation, and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware specifications.
  • Coordinates with configuration management and integration to ensure requirements are proper decomposed and addressed.
  • Engage in frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent and five years of related experience in aerospace, defense, automotive or applicable field.
  • Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts of Systems Engineering. Experience with aerospace gear systems or equivalent is preferred.
  • General knowledge of other related disciplines is beneficial.
  • Must be diligent and detail oriented with the ability to be self-directed when given general guidance and parameters.
  • The ability to adapt quickly to change and function in a fast pace working environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills is preferred.
