Swedish Medical Center is currently seeking a full time Speech/Language Pathologist who is passionate about the neurological population at the Cherry Hill Campus in acute care. There may be some opportunities to float to the Issaquah and Ballard campuses on occasion.

Cherry Hill specializes in patients with complex neurological and cardiac diagnoses. Services are delivered within the framework of a team approach, appropriate disciplines, significant others, and the patient. These services are delivered in compliance with ethical standards, policies and procedures, national and professional standards, state practice guidelines for speech/language pathologists, and current accepted state of the art treatment techniques. Experience with the instrumental diagnostic procedure - VFSS is required and experience with FEES is a bonus.

In this position you will:

  • Evaluate and develop individual treatment plans to maximize functional outcomes.
  • Implement and make appropriate adjustments to the treatment plans.
  • Reassess treatment results and provide discharge recommendations.
  • Candidates will need to possess a passion for the neurological population.

The speech-language pathologist (SLP) delivers and supervises others in the delivery of services in the areas of communication, cognition and swallowing. Upon physician referral the speech-language pathologist will perform evaluations and develop individual plans of care to maximize functional outcomes, implementing the plans of care, reassessing treatment results, and actively participating in discharge planning.

Required Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree - Speech/language pathology from an accredited program.
  • Washington Speech Language Pathologist License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Related experience.
