Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Design Engineer at Brownmed. The Design Engineer will be responsible for performing day-to-day tasks related to design engineering and product development. This includes utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software, maintenance of ISO 9001 documentation, product drawings and QC fault lists, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to product design and improvement. The role is located in Boston, MA, with an opportunity for remote work 1 - 2 days per week. Qualifications Strong skills in Design Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Electrical Engineering Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Fusion 360 and other software platforms Self-starter who is flexible, solutions oriented and able to pivot quickly to create opportunity. Experience in product design and development Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Engineering or related field Experience in the medical device industry is a plus Knowledge of EDI, ISO 9001, CE and FDA helpful.
