Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Civil Engineer to join our team in Boston, MA. As a Principal Civil Engineer, you will lead and mentor an interdisciplinary team to deliver multimodal transportation infrastructure in a wide range of contexts, from roadway reconstructions and streetscapes in highly urban settings to signature trail projects in suburban and rural areas that highlight and enhance the natural environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor an interdisciplinary team to deliver multimodal transportation infrastructure
  • Develop construction documents and public agency construction administration
  • Manage projects and guide the team through design development, design review, bid package development, permitting, and answer questions during construction
  • Work with the team to ensure that our projects are consistently of the highest quality
  • Assist Engineering Group Managers and/or the Engineering Director in the Northeast by independently managing and leading company projects in the region
Requirements
  • Professional Engineering license in MA
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering
  • At least 15 years of engineering experience developing construction documents and/or public agency construction administration
  • At least 5 years serving in a project and/or design management role
  • Broad knowledge base in civil engineering, with specific experience in roadway design, drainage design, geometric design, 3D modeling, and design of accessible public spaces
  • Proven track record of past performance, delivering multiple large/complex projects on time and on budget
