The Baldwin is seeking a Plant Operations Director to join our community Candidates will be responsible for overseeing the care, maintenance and cleanliness of all aspects of the physical property as well as coordinate life safety and security programs to ensure the security of our residents, staff, and facility. The Director of Plant Operations plans, directs, and coordinates activities concerned with design, construction, modification, and maintenance of equipment and machinery within the community. All projects and daily departmental operations are led utilizing a knowledge and background focusing on environmentally responsible or green approach. Responsibilities include strategic capital planning, program and project implementation, schedules, budgets, and serves as the senior representative and liaison with town governments and their representatives.

Candidates must have exceptional leadership analytical, conceptual, and interpersonal skills as well as excellent communication skills. Candidates must be able to maintain a cooperative and courteous attitude despite simultaneous tasks in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or business administration, with coursework in healthcare and project management. Candidates must have 5 or more years’ experience in facilities management and/or trades such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, refrigeration, ground maintenance and 5 years of supervisory capacity. Construction experience preferred.
