This position will report to our Supply Chain Finance Director and will be responsible for providing financial counsel and analytical expertise to our Supply Chain Operations team. The individual will have responsibility for, and support of, managing our manufacturing, distribution and transportation spend, and assist in calculating and tracking monthly productivity savings, variance analysis, month-end reporting, and managing our global capital spend. This individual’s focus will be on creating sustainable processes and providing timely and accurate analysis to drive informed decision-making. The applicant should be comfortable working in a fast-paced, flexible environment, have a strong analytical background, exceptional critical thinking skills, and a solid understanding of financial concepts and forecasting techniques. This position is based in our Columbia, SC office with a hybrid schedule of 3 days in-office and 2 days remote, weekly. Responsibilities: Financial Planning and Analysis: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and budgets. Analyze historical data, market trends, and operational metrics to support the creation of accurate financial projections and strategic plans. Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze key financial and operational performance indicators, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for senior management, providing insightful commentary and recommendations. Forecasting and Budgeting: Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and semi-annual forecasts. Support variance analysis between actual results and budgeted/forecasted/prior year figures, identifying areas of improvement and cost-saving opportunities. Business Partnering: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including department heads, to understand their financial needs and provide valuable insights. Offer financial guidance, conduct ad hoc financial analyses, and support decision-making processes. Cost Analysis: Perform detailed cost analysis, evaluating spending patterns, identifying cost drivers, and proposing cost optimization strategies. Conduct scenario analysis to assess the financial impact of potential business initiatives. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and automation within the FP&A function. Develop and implement best practices to streamline financial planning and reporting processes, increasing efficiency and accuracy. Requirements: Two to four years’ experience in Accounting/Finance with a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA) are a plus. Supply Chain operations and costing experience strongly preferred Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting techniques, and data analysis tools. Advanced knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial statements. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Highly proficient in using spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel) and financial planning software (e.g., Hyperion, Planful, Host Analytics). Solid understanding of business operations and the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights. Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information in a clear and concise manner. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
