This position is full onsite, and you will be working out of the Calgary office location.

Mini Mall Storage is seeking an Acquisitions Analyst to provide accurate and data-based information on potential acquisitions. The junior acquisition analyst will be responsible for researching and analyzing financial information and macroeconomic data to help the acquisition team make informed decisions.This position will also assist in drafting offers and writing reports outlining key financial projections for potential self-storage acquisitions.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

  • Provide general support to the Acquisitions team by aggregating and managing key data on potential acquisitions.
  • Record, organize, and analyze data from the self-storage industry to generate meaningful reports and recommendations.
  • Monitor industry trends, gather demographic data, and analyze market pricing to inform underwriting assumptions.
  • Gather and review financial reports for potential acquisitions, ensuring all necessary information is available for analysis.
  • Upload financial data into underwriting models, perform financial testing, and analyze projections to ensure accurate assessments.
  • Coordinate the deal flow process, prioritize potential acquisitions, and assist in preparing preliminary investment memos for senior management.
  • Maintain effective communication within the Acquisitions team, staying informed on deal status and ensuring proper prioritization of acquisitions.
WHAT WILL YOU NEED?
  • 1-2 years of experience in data management and analysis, with familiarity in using data warehouses and industry monitoring tools.
  • Experience in financial modeling and report generation, with an emphasis on maintaining data integrity.
  • Experience in conducting market research and analyzing demographics and competitor pricing.
  • Experience in gathering and reviewing financial reports, with a basic understanding of underwriting processes.
  • Strong organizational skills in coordinating tasks and managing priorities within a team setting.
  • Effective communication skills with experience in facilitating collaboration within teams.
  • Basic familiarity with financial databases, KPI dashboards, and market analysis tools.
